What we do...

We collaborate with importers, retailers and producers to blend, bottle and position wines that meet UK retailer standards and customer expectations.

As a newly formed small business we can help with anything from a one-time consultation session to a longer term contract, or a bespoke project, depending on your business needs.

If you are looking to tailor your wines for the UK market we’d love to hear from you.

We have spent a combined 25 years working in the Sainsbury’s Technical Manager & Winemaker role, which combines sourcing and blending of the entire own label wine range with the technical due diligence of a complex supply base.

We both have lead auditor and HACCP level 3 qualifications and are now working freelance in an industry we are passionate about.

Why choose us...

"I have known and worked with Lisa and Richard for more than 15 years in the wine industry. Not only are they extremely skilled wine technologists and winemakers, they also have the ability to blend and select the best products for their clients based on different market needs. They combine this effortlessly with passion and great empathy, making for a great working couple with a vast experience of all the major wine producing areas around the world"

Norrel Robertson MW, Winemaker & Founder, El Escocés Volante

"I believe that the blends of Taste the Difference Gavi, Barbera and Barolo you...have put together, vintage after vintage, have determined the success of these wines within Sainsbury's."

Claudio Manera, Araldica

“I have enjoyed working alongside both Richard and Lisa for a decade in my capacity as supplying head winemaker for own-label wines from Australia and owner-winemaker for branded wines from South Africa. They have proven themselves both extremely knowledgeable and nuanced in their approach – not a combination one comes across often. In some way it is like a top-class surgeon having ‘people skills’; rare, but wonderful when it occurs. Put another way it is the ability to see over the horizon, while also focused on the next step in front of you. In the wine business, this is essential, because wines live and succeed in this dualism, this stretched reality. The complexity of wine demands an understanding of this. And very few people get it. Richard and Lisa do.”

We have experience working in 16 wine producing countries and with over 150 producers

"I’ve worked with Richard and Lisa for over a decade, across a range of custom made, own-label wines for the UK multiple retailer environment. Their experience and thorough approach have made them trusted contacts in a complex industry.

One standout example of our collaboration was a multi-stage project in which we tracked dissolved oxygen throughout the supply chain — from tank, through bulk transport, to contract bottling — identifying pressure points and introducing interventions that directly improved quality consistency over the life of the wine.

Using them as a sounding board during blending has also been invaluable — their ability to balance technical precision with consumer expectations has consistently added clarity and confidence to the process."
